HOUSEHOLD HINTS

Remove Stains from Carpet

Animal Stains,  Fruit Juice, or Wine:
  • If the stain is still wet, try repeatedly sponging with lukewarm water.
  • Blot dry and treat with a solution of 1 teaspoon detergent and 1 teaspoon vinegar in a quart of warm water.  After 15 minutes, blot again and sponge with clean water.

Ink:
  • Blot ball-point ink with a denatured alcohol as soon as possible.
  • Permanent ink can't be removed, but you can minimize the damage by blotting with water.

Cigarette Burns:

  • To mask the damage, snip off the darkened fiber ends.
  • Blot the area with a solution of 1 teaspoon detergent and 1 teaspoon vinegar in a quart of warm water.

Lipstick

  • Gently blot with a dry-cleaning solution.  Rinse with a solution of 1 tablespoon ammonia in a cup of water.

Paint

  • Oil-based paints can usually be removed with turpentine.
  • Water-based paints clean up with water.

Best Pizza in ABQ

Although Dion's is AMAZING... sometimes you just want to try something new! Here are a few of my favorite pizza joints in Albuquerque!

Giovanni's Pizzeria
921 San Pedro Dr SE, Albuquerque, NM 87108

One of the best New York style pizza places in New Mexico! Their dough is tasty, the sauce is spicy, and the green chile is delicious.

Village Pizza
3851 Rio Grande Blvd NW
4266 Corrales Rd Corrales, NM

The patio in the summer is fantastic! The pizza is great... all homemade and fresh ingredients. Everything that is offered here is good.. the salad bar, breadsticks, and the green chile chicken soup. Can't go wrong at VP!

Il Vicino Wood Oven Pizza
3403 Central Ave NE, Albuquerque, NM 87106
11225 Montgomery Blvd NE Albuquerque, NM
Corrales Shopping Center, 10701 Corrales Rd NW Albuquerque, NM

Highly recommend!!! They have a pretty wide variety of items on their menu. I personally love their food because I feel like it's Italian meets New Mexican style! Their pizzas, calzones, pastas, and paninis are delicious. Highly recommend. Great atmosphere and great service! They also serve amazing desserts... be sure to try their cannoli's!

My favorite pizza is the PIZZA AL PESTO
Fresh basil pesto, mozzarella, tomatoes, sun-dried tomatoes, toasted pine nuts, fresh basil.

Pizzeria Luca
8850 Holly Ave NE, Albuquerque, NM 87122

Absolutely love this place! It's the perfect place for date night. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The pizza crust is amazing! Also, great local beer and wine selections.

Saggios
107 Cornell Dr SE, Albuquerque, NM 87106

I absolutely LOVE SAGGIOS! The pizza slices are HUGE and DELICIOUS! The crust is crispy without being burnt, the dough is fluffy, everything about it is so good! I prefer the pizza but the calzones, pasta, bread sticks, sandwiches, and salad are good too. I've never had anything bad from Saggios. If you are craving good Italian then Saggios is the place to be! If you're not into the University atmosphere, try Fastinos by Saggios...2600 Juan Tabo Blvd NE Albuquerque, NM or 3723 4th St NW Albuquerque, NM. They offer a lot of the same menu items and have a drive thru.

WisePies Pizza
4545 Alameda Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87113
6261 Riverside Plaza Ln Albuquerque, NM 87120
1908 Wellspring Ave SE Rio Rancho, 0 87124
106 Girard Blvd SE Albuquerque, 0 87106

Wise Pies is easily becoming a new favorite here in New Mexico. They have a great menu or you can make your own pizza. They also offer Gluten Free crust and because you can make your own pizza completely and you can create a healthy pizza. You have several options for crust, sauce, and toppings. One of the best things about Wise Pies is that it's served within minutes! You can get in and out quickly if you'd prefer that!

I hope you enjoyed this blog!
